 Nepal
is an agricultural country. More than 80% people depend on agriculture.
Radio Lumbini being on the terai and agricultural area, it has
been broadcasting agricultural programmes to benefit farms and
farmers in their farming activities and make it as main income
generating activity through new technology, high breed seeds and
get rid of harms, and new farming techniques.
It also conducts
interviews with farmers, veterinary doctors and other resource persons.
It provides information on the ways of doing irrigation, fish farming,
poultry farming, bee keeping. Radio Lumbini broadcasts an agricultural
programme once a week called "Krishi Karyakram".
